Removal of plunger valves

My plunger valve on pump suction is now leaking, but only with the pump off. Replaced the O-rings and still leaks. I was going to replace it with the new version but option below appears to have more flow.guaranteed no leaks and everything past the plunger valve is 1.5" PVC leading under the deck to the pump and SWG so why not replace these as well leaving the pool the only thing Intex.
Here is another member's valve thoughts?

Appears all I need is some more 1.5 to 1.25 grey conduit bushings, two 1.5" 90 degree bends, washer and some 1.5" female to female adapters.

I prefer the ball valves if the pool is hard plumbed. You can also get single union ball valves .

Thanks. Definitely the 1.5" ball valves like I have just before the pump and salt water generator as it makes changing the filter easy lickety-split in less than two minutes.
