Looking for a good pressure washer

The two in the comparison come with Comet AXD pumps. http://www.pressure-washer-parts.com/comet.asp

Which pressure washer was it that came without nozzles ??

Northern Tool does have a very good quality electric with a CAT pump, 2000 psi, 1.5 GPM and plugs into the wall in a standard outlet. They would like you to have a 20 amp circuit for it but that doesn't mean if you plug it into a circuit with a 15amp breaker it's going to blow. Just depends on if you have other things running on that circuit at the same time.
20 amp circuit breaker runs about $5 at home improvement store if you needed to swap it for a 15 amp currently on a circuit. Most garages should already be on a 20. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Siemens-...terchangeable-Circuit-Breaker-Q120U/100044919

The 240 volt version would take a different outlet. If you are creative and don't run them together you could share the circuit with a pool pump motor but having a dedicated circuit & breaker would be better. 3,000 PSI, 2.5 GPM and it comes with a CAT pump.

Yeah, pressure washers, like firearms, are a tool - they can either be used for good or evil. My landscaper told me to only use the pressure washer on the lightest possible setting with my paver stones because I can easily rip the polymer sand grout right out from between them.

I probably won't use it on the car as my monthly water bill is high enough already. I'll start with the concrete and rock waterfall to start with.

I make sure I use the widest fan nozzle and keep a safe distance. I know how dangerous they can be. I cut a coaster size piece of bark out of a cedar tree after I cut it down.

I'm not so sure about the "Foam Cannon". Not that it doesn't work great but for 60 bucks for the garden hose model or 120 for the pressure washer model I'll stick with my cheap (<$10) garden hose weed killer sprayer. I have quick couplers on the end of my hoses so I just pull the pressure washers hose off and spray soap and then hook the pressure washer up.

I bet I don't use a whole lot more water washing the cars with it. I spray, soap, shut off, brush with brush attachment on hose, rinse with washer.

Well, come to think of it, I might actually wash my cars more often if I got one. I'm usually the guy with the car in the parking lot that people write "PLEASE WASH ME" in the 1/4" of grime that I let accumulate....of course the wife might get a little jealous if I spend more time with my power tools ;)

And that's something to think about when making a purchase. The higher the gallons per minute doesn't equal better. Depending on the application you may not need much water for a rinse and just the pressure for cleaning.

This is like the TFP of pressure washers. http://pressurewashingresource.com/
