I Keep adding MA Ph Drops maybe for a day then goes right back up maybe about 8.2
is this normal for a new pool?

SWCG's "aerate" the water, so when your TA is over 100 you will see constant PH rise. You need to lower your TA to about 70 - 90....see the article about Lowering TA in Pool School. Also, if your new pool is plaster, you will see PH rise very quickly in the first few months and less noticable but still ongoing for as much as a year.
