ColorSplash 3G Problem

I have a ColorSplash 3G bulb.

The bulb stopped changing programs with the cycling of the transformer on/off switch.

I removed the bulb and am bench testing with a Leviton PX300 transformer.

When the primary of the transformer is switched, the bulb will not change programs, however, when the 14V secondary is switched the bulb will perform correctly.

I would guess that something in the circuitry of the bulb is glitched, but performing as it does seems strange.

Any suggestions?

I am afraid we are not going to be much help. There are very few members who have these bulbs and likely even rarer that anyone has the ability to do the testing you have already done. Puzzling

I kind of thought that might be the case, but figured I'd take a shot at asking anyway.

Bulb is out of warranty, and I hesitate to replace it with the same brand.

Any preference between the Hayward and Pentair lights?

I have a 120V 3G bulb ... so no opinion on the more expensive light fixtures. Certainly they will be more work to install than just putting a new bulb in. And don't they cost at least double as well?
