Hello, I'm starting to get low on my R-0871, as I'm on my 3rd SLAM in 2 months, and while I see I can order both the R-0870 + R-0871 from tftestkits.net, I'm not low on R-0870, and I can get R-0871-C from elsewhere for considerably cheaper. The full product name is advertised as "Taylor FAS-DPD Titrating Reagent (Chlorine) 2oz R-0871-C"
Is R-0871-C equivalent to R-0871 (TF-100 test kit algae testing agent)

Yup, same thing. The "C" (or other letter) on the end of a Taylor part number indicates the size of the bottle. C=2oz
Which is why it is cheaper because it is 1/2 as much as the 4 oz jar from tftestkits.
Wow, they have a 4 ounce jar? The one that came with my TF100 kit was 2 ounces. I'll take another look at the website... I'm certainly a fan of a good price / weight ratio.
Edit: after looking more closing at tftestkits.net, I see you can indeed order the R-0871 without the R-0870, but I'm not seeing any 4 ounce size.
The R-0871 is sold in 2oz bottles at tftestkits ... maybe Robbie was thinking of the CYA reagent?
