Walmart is the cheapest. HTH brand, dissolves quickly. In a pinch I've purchased a big ol' bucket online and some at Menards or Fleet Farm but those tend to dissolve much more slowly.

As long as it is 99% or greater CYA it's fine. If you don't need it immediately you can get good deals on eBay, but of course shipping will take some time. Other than that Walmart or Home Depot.
My home depot only carries the HTH brand, which is 96%. I guess it depends on location, since their website shows another brand, "Pool Time" with 100%.
I get mine online once or so a year, a 25 lb bucket ay Inyo pool, when they have a deal. This year it was a fairly fine powder, which surprised me. Seemed to work as expected with raising CYA, and dissolved fast, but doubt a few % difference in purity would be noticeable in any test!

96% is fine...I guess I should have said "mostly CYA" or "CYA as the only ingredient"
My pool guy delivered it via pucks he hid on the ledge inside my skimmer! Maybe I can send you my water!
