Vinyl liner scum line cleaning

I have been using Bioguards "Off the Wall" to clean the liner scum line and steps since we got our pool several years ago. Does anyone have another (cheaper) cleanser that would be ok for this purpose?

I've found that a paste of baking soda on a green kitchen sponge works well for the scum line :-D

I've also used a Mr. Clean Eraser with good results.
