Help: AG 21' round.

Our ladder has caused a two inch tear in the bottom of our liner. My husband has repaired the tear but now the water that leaked out has caused erosion of the sand and made a huge crater where it washed away leaving sharp jutting stones. What are we to do? I've heard of blasting foam into sand where it washed away but will that really help? Or could we just cover the bottom of our pool with a mat as to keep the sharp pebbles from puncturing through and move the ladder as well? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I doubt there is anything you can do without draining the pool. The weight of the water is going to make it next to impossible.
