What's wrong with this picture???

Just had to share this. Sent in by someone that just bought a new pool and had it installed by an "established pool retailer". Filter system would not work and installer was not much help; could not figure out why?
After we stopped laughing, I figured it would make for an interesting post topic.

Looks to me like the filter is on the wrong side of the pump. (Water should go from the skimmer, to the pump, to the filter, to the pool return.

On top the of obvious plumbing issues, the pump is precariously sitting on top of the stacked pavers... just waiting to be vibrated on its stoop.

I hope that pump wasn't run for too long! Given that a sand filter can and will shed sand, that pumps wet head impeller probably has some very nice gouge marks in it....
