Getting best results from returns/jets

What is the suggested positions for the jets to move debris from the surface of water to skimmers? We have three jets, one near the steps a few feet from the skimmer on the same side of the pool and almost across from the skimmer on the other side of the pool; and two on the far end of the pool--down from both skimmers and opposite each other.

Trial and error. You likely want to set up a circular flow and have one of the jets pointing toward the skimmer.
