Pressure Vs Vac side pool cleaner

I have an 30 some year old pool that currently is using a polaris ATV vac, attached to a Pentair Vac mate.
I use to have a Haward pool vac but got tired of rebuilding it.
I am getting ready to re-mod the pool.

I was thinking of adding a dedicated vacuum port to the side of the pool, or a dedicated pressure port.

Which cleaners do a better job> Pressure or vacuum side?
