OK so it's been decided to get a new home with a pool (IG)

All the places I've seen so far are with IG concrete pools.
What do i need to check about the pool to estimate if the pool is in good condition or not.
I heard it can cost 30-50K$ to fix a problematic pool in our area so that is a concern.

what should i look out for?

Hard to just look for anything. The biggest concern is whether it has a leak (not sure how you could determine this from a short viewing). The next biggest expense would be if it needs to be resurfaced and retiled. Replacing the equipment is fairly easy and not as expensive.

The expensive repairs would be anything under the ground, which is more difficult to discern.

You would have to have VERY major problems to get up to 30-50k though. A resurface/tile job is likely under $15k for even pebble surfaces. All new equipment (pump & filter) would be under $2k, Add 2k for heater and 1k for SWG.
