Can anyone provide input on a filter and pump combination for a 24' above ground pool,approximately 14000 gallons? Looking for a good quality sand system. Any thoughts?

I would suggest a 21 inch sand filter. Bigger filters mean less backwashing.
As for the pump a 1 hp 2 speed hayward power-flo matrix. That will be plenty of pump for your pool and you'll save a lot on your electric bill by being able to run pump on low speed most of the time.
You may not find that in a combo package. You'll have purchase each separately. ?
