Never Used Borax Before

I've seen examples for the pool size I have (15k gallons), that mention 11-12 boxes of borax. If I only use one box, would it be a waste, or should I pony up and get the other 10 boxes?

Are you borating your pool or are you increasing pH?

One box of 20 Mule Team Borax is 76 ounces weight (4.75 pounds) and raises the Borates level by 4.3 ppm in a 15k gal pool.

I would encourage you to read this thread for an idea of borating your pool entails.
