Draining down to reduce CYA

Well I'm standing in about 10" of water on the shallow end right now. My CYA was about 180 on the diluted k2006 test. Took sample to pool store and they said 150 which I bet is low.

Any suggestions on refill from here and proper actions would be appreciated. I will get a chance to change my pool bulb during this fun though.

Also stained liner and step suggestions as well please.

Is your fill water from your own well? If it is, have you had it tested for iron?

While you have the steps out of the water, try crushing a few vitamin C tablets, and make a thin past from them. Wipe this paste on the steps, and see if the staining goes away where you wipe. Rinse it off with your pool water after the test.
