I am having a hard time figuring out the % of my chlorine. I think the Clorox I get at the big box store is 8.25%......is this right? Is this good? Where can I get 12% ?

The % of chlorine is noted on the label. You don't have to guess.

All liquid chlorine should list the % on the label in the ingredient list.
We use 10% but most pool stores will carry 12%. Check the date on the bottles as well.

Just have to search around for the best price and sales and then stock up. I get 12.5% from TheGreatEscape at $2.50 a gallon in the Chicago area. Menards also has sales every once in a while buy one get one free which equates to $2.00 per gallon of 12.5%.
One thing I want to mention about the 12.5% is it degrades in its percentage the quickest. If you use it check the FC level 30 minutes after you dose with it and see if the FC level is where pool math said it would take it to.
