Healing salts and oil thepay

I had someone tell me that they put different type of salts in there pool that offer healing properties and aromas. Is this a good or bad idea? If good what salts or available? And what of oils, won't thet cling to gunite and tiles?

BAD idea!

Oils of any sort, even just off your skin, cause 'ring around the pool', gunk up your filter, and use up more chlorine.
Salts with aromas, well, I would think the chlorine would be trying to clean them, too. Not to mention how will that stuff react with your normal pool chems?

If you want aroma therapy, keep it in the bath tub, where you can easily drain the water and clean the tub!
