I just realized my pressure gauge is out on my sand filter....do I need to replace it before I think about adding DE to my sand filter?

I'm (hopefully) on the backside of a SLAM and feel like my filter needs the DE to clear up the gray cloudiness I still see in the deep end. Thanks!

Welcome to TFP!

I would advise replacing the pressure gauge before thinking about adding DE as the pressure may increase quickly once you add DE.

I agree that you need to replace the gauge before messing with DE and while in the process of a SLAM.
