Looking for an inexpensive automatic pool vac

We had our 18x34 above ground pool installed last year with floor drains. We thought that would keep the floor clean, but it is not doing the job as we had hoped. We would like to purchase a vacuum, but do not want to spend a lot of money. We tried the Hayward Aqua bug (under $200), but it stopped working after the second use. Does anyone have any suggestions for us?
