Best times to test?

Hi everyone. We've had our pool for a couple weeks now and it has been sparkling clear and wonderful, thanks to all the great info here and the BBB method.

Just a couple quick questions though:

When we swim in the pool, is there a minimum time that should pass before I test the water?

Also, when is the optimum time to test in general? Morning and evening I assume due to less sunlight.

I've been testing in the evening, anywhere from 6pm-8pm.

Test for chlorine in the evening. Then you can add your daily bleach so it can work overnight!

For all the other tests, time of day is not crucial, but you might as well do any others at the same time as the FC!

I test ours in the evening just as the sun is setting providing no one is in the water. If there is I usually just scoop out a sample and test it then add the required chemicals after everyone has been tossed out !
