New Sand Filter

I am upgrading from a Hayward cartridge filter to a hayward Pro sand filter for a 16' by 48" Intex metal frame pool hard plumbed with 1.5 inch pvc.

Is the 14 inch size ok? What is the differnece between the S14T and S14TPAKS listed on hayward site?
