My pool is about 6-7 years old and has a vinyl liner. If I remember correctly the pool building firm said that a liner typically lasts 10 years. Is that about right?

Everythng seems fine with the existing liner except for the fact that the pattern is a bit worn in a few spots where the Kreepy Krawly tends to get stuck - like around the ladder and by the bottom drains. Does this just create minor wear or is this something to be more concerned about that may totally wear out the liner?

Typically you replace it when it starts to fall apart. A patch here or there is not that bad, but when it starts to rip at the top and pop holes left and right, it's time for a new one. If yours lasts more than 10 years, great!

A lot of times, your KK may tend to stick in one place in your pool and that is never good.
You can usually find a pool noodle or something similar to tie around the object and misdirect your cleaner.
