At least it feels like sand... I've been vacuuming it up. I suppose I should retrieve a sample and examine it. It's just very small amounts of it, but it seem like every week I detect these small amounts in the bottom of my above ground, 7600 gallon pool. I do have a sand filter, so my question is: is it possible for sand to leak from a sand filter into the pool? It's a new pool and new equipment.
The sand filter manual says "Sandman Sand filter system NE6150 / NE6170"
The amounts are small enough, but I've wonder if it's simply blowing into the pool from somewhere. But I don't see any sand deposits anywhere near my pool that it could blow in from, unless it's particles from my roof shingles blowing in.
