I had until recently been using trichlor, so my TA is 110. I'm using bleach now, and I understand my TA should be 70 to 80. I'd also like to add borates, which also necessitates a lower TA. My question is, would you do that now, in the heart of the season, or would you just wait until the off season? I'm in the pool everyday.

I'd seen that, but it didn't say whether it made your pool unusable. It's my understanding that I have to do it to add the borates, as the level has changed due to the recent change to bleach.
You can use the pool; however, general rule of thumb: after adding chemicals, wait 30 minutes with pump running before swimming.
