Intex pool on DG

Hi

Looking for advise.
I have leveled an area for a new 18 x 9 foot Intex pool.
I have compacted 4" of Decomposed Granite for the pad. It is 21 x 12 framed with 4x4 treaded lumber. Everything is completly level and have given it several week to settle.
I plan to put down a trap and a Gorilla Pad, Do I still need sand under the pool between the trap and Gorilla Pad?

Any help would be appreciated.

Sand at this point would be "gilding the lily". Optional, but not completely needed.
