Am using the prescribed method of cartridge filter cleaning found on TFP for the first time, "" one cup dishwasher detergent to five gallons of water """" soak the element for at least on hour (overnight is most effective) "". I have a spare filter so the first one stayed submerged overnight.

Wondering how long is too long to keep one submerged in the detergent or is there a maximum time ? Can leaving it submerged in the detergent for say 2 days hurt it ?
