Rain causing algae?

Every time it rains it seems I get this ugly yellowish powder on the bottom of my pool and the water goes cloudy.
The water was beautiful and sparkly before it rained.

We've had an unusual amount of rain so this is getting to be a pain.

Is there any way to tell if this is algae or just dirt?

Each time this happens I slam the pool but this is getting old real fast.

My reaction is that's pollen being washed from the atmosphere into your pool.
