I built my own pool last year thanks to you guys. ( I have not posted pictures, yet) I started off with BBB and my water has been great.
Two weeks ago I let FC get to 0 and to no surprise I got algae.
Was brownish and clowdy. I came here, read up, shocked like you guys said, vacuum, brush, etc. And it worked, you guys are great. 
Within 4 days had perfectly clear water!
Later added borates as suggested and now my water not only feels good but looks incredible!
To all you newbys, the advice here is invaluble and works great. I have saved lots of money and time thanks to TFP. The hard part is getting my other friends with pools to quick buying all the extra chemicals the pool stores tell them to buy and get them to switch to BBB. Thanks again!
