My Doughboy Silica II running off of a 1. 5HP Hayward Power Flo LX has 3INCH Crack. It's 12 yrs old. Looking for good relatively inexpensive replacement. Any ideas?
Do you think its ok for the pool to not be filtering for a few days? What can I do to prevent any harm to my water while not filtering. I'm in NJ.. been in the upper 80's this week and humid.
Also, my current filer is 16" with a 1.5hp pump. Was thinking of getting this in 16". That should good, right?
Or should I get the 18" ?
If you have the funds go larger. Keep adding chlorine, brush down the sides, to mix it in. Dead stuff will fall to the bottom, it's better than fighting an algae bloom. Vacuum when you get your filter working.
