Has anyone used or know about these things. Lots of bad reviews on amazon. I have a 20k liter pool and and just clorinating it now. Woould love to use less clorine. Or maybe someone knows of and alternative like this?

thanks

Welcome!

I just looked it up: http://www.solaxx.com/eko_klor.php

You don't want that. It's just a solar powered copper ionizer. "These electrodes then produce a combination of copper and other ions which prevent the growth of microorganisms."
If you use the search box for copper, you won't find much good said about it. Copper is good as an algae killer, but it doesn't do anything to oxidize organic wastes, like sweat and snot and dead skin, nor does it kill bacteria fast enough to prevent person-to-person transmission. So you'll still need to maintain chlorine levels. Chlorine does all three.

If you're sick of lugging jugs, maybe you should look into a saltwater generator? If you get an intex, you'll want to disconnect the copper ionizer bar! :D
