Calcium Hardness Test

I just took a CH reading and noticed something unusual. After adding and mixing the R11, the water sample turned clear/red but had red "particles" floating in it as well. i would have expected the solution to be relatively clear. After adding the R12, the water sample turned clear/blue as expected and the "particles" as well.

Could something be wrong with my reagents or water? TFT-100 Kit was ordered in May. Water tests and looks fine.

FC=2
CC= >.5
PH=7.5
TA=110
CH=240

No, that is normal with water that has either high magnesium or metals in it. This can be minimized or eliminated by swirling for 20-30 seconds after adding the first reagent and swirling 20-30 seconds between EACH drop of titrant. If you do this test properly it takes a while.
