Skimbi floating skimmer

Has any one tried this skimmer? It has good reviews on Amazon, better than the intex one.

Also wondering if I can connect the vacuum from the Intex Deluxe Maintenance kit to this skimmers hose.

From what I can tell it seems to be like the small Intex model which is ok but not as good as the Intex deluxe which is bigger and worked better. It also has the larger 1.5 inch hose rather than 1.25.

I had both before finally doing thru the wall Hayward.

I went to the garage to take a pic of them both side by side but it looks like I finally pitched the small one. However the deluxe one is 8 inches across the opening, for reference.

It looks just a little smaller than the Intex deluxe skimmer. I use the deluxe and find that it works just fine for my 18' round pool. When the kids start getting rowdy I turn off my pump and pull the skimmer. I have had them break the arm from rough housing. My next pool is going to be a more permanent pool with through the wall skimmer but until next year this deluxe one works great.
You should probably check on what hose size you need for your setup. You can go bigger but I wouldn't go smaller.
