I've just started up my new pool.
Here are my readings. I didn't measure CYA since I just added a few days ago. These readings are from a TFT100 test kit.
The chlorine seems low.
I've put the SWG on boost, but should I just add Bleach?

Copper 0.1
PH 7.2
FC 1
CC 1
TC 1
TA 140
Salt 4000

If you truly have 1CC, then you should SLAM the pool by manually adding liquid chlorine to your SLAM level based on your CYA., or however much you added.

I ran the SWG boost cycle (before I read on this site that I shouldn't).
Anyway, new readings based on TF100 drop test:

FC: 8.5
CC: 0.5
PH: 7.2

It's still too soon to test for CYA because I added it Tuesday/Wednesday.

Should I just run the SWG for my target CYA (70) and let the FC drift down on its own and keep testing? Edit - sounds like I should do OCLT but my CC is fine. My water is beautiful, I doubt there is anything growing in it. Based on OCLT and my CC and water appearance, probably don't need the full SLAM.

Sounds like FC 8.5 is fine to swim in. This site is a wealth of information.
