And for cutting that slot, a wet saw is great if you have one on hand. If you don't, then you can do the cut with a grinder and a grinder diamond blade.
Another question. While perusing some other threads dealing with 'bonding' and 'Neutral-Earth Voltage', I saw mention of the SAFTRON, non-conductive ladders and rails. I know that grounding the anchors would be much less expensive, however, it might be worthwhile to not put another cut in my concrete.

Yes, MBG75. Exactly one of the cups is bonded. One is not. At least that shows they made an effort when building the pool.
Rail was probably bonded too, if it was put in when pool was built.
