Pump recommendation

I have a Hayward TriStar 1.5 HP pump that keeps cycling on and off, and is running very hot.

I was thinking of replacing the motor and seals, which would cost around $350 in parts from amazon.

Should I repair my pump, or would this be a good time to replace the pump with a 2-speed or variable speed pump.

Any troubleshooting advice, or pump recommendations would be appreciated.

I live in Missouri where rates are 12 cents.

you can just replace the motor with a 2-speed.
