Added Stabilizer directly to pool

I am one for following all directions until tonight.Having no time to finish the job, I added 4lbs of needed stabilzer to my pool.
DIRECTLY to the pool.I mixed it in a bucket but it still sat at the bottom like I expected.
I brushed as much into intake as I could.
Is it going to be okay?Has anyone else been the fool like me and done this and will admit it?

I've done it and it'll be okay... it'll disolve in a few days.

LOL, I'm sure I've done that or something like it....before my TFP days I dumped all sorts of chems in, "cause they told me too"....

It's NOT a problem for you to have added the CYA directly to the pool! However, if you don't brush it, it can take 7+ days to dissolve on the bottom .

Easiest way to add it is to slowly pour it into your skimmer with pump running, run the pump for 48 hours and don't clean your filter for a week. Test it after one week.

That's the way I added my stabilizer - I got my pool set up before knowing what I was doing. It still did the job. :-D

I have added stabilizer before but it was really fine and diluted and added to the skimmer.The stuff from Leslie's Pool Supply is terrible.I'll never buy it again.The other brand I bought dissolved so much easier.
