So I bought an INTEX 26' X 52" Ultra Frame pool with a salt water system. (15000 gallons) The filter that comes with these pools just does not keep up. Want to upgrade to a sand filter. What brand and size should I purchase? Will I need new hoses or anything else? Tired of fooling with this pool already.

If it is the Intex cartridge filter, then you are correct ... it and the pump are too small. Many members report the 2600 (2850) pump & sand filter to be a huge improvement.
Or you can go with any of the major pool manufacturers pumps/filter, but they will cost more.
As gatorbrit, asked, what specifically is the problem? If you are fighting algae, the pump/filter, are not the root cause, the problem is your chemistry.
