FC is just free chlorine and is separate from your CYA

The CYA is helping to protect the chlorine from the sun and the level of FC you need is dependent upon how much CYA you have. (the more CYA you have, the more FC you need to keep the pool sanitized)

On the bottom of Pool Math calculator if you have your numbers in the "now" boxes for all your test results it will tell you what your goals are for daily maintenance and also what your shock level is.

If you put in what the calculator told you would raise your CYA to 40, assume it is there and just not showing up on the test yet. Look down the chart and see that for 40 CYA your minimum FC is 3, Max is 5 and Shock Level is 16

Yes, as long as the water looks good.

What's the total amount of liquid stabilizer you've put in since it was filled? Use the "effect of adding chemicals" at the bottom of Poolmath to figure that out based on your pool size and how much you've added...

Update, algae spotting. Been adding bleach to shock with lil success. Went to Leslie's so they can verify my results.

They said I should lower alkalinity and increase hardness. I was told hardness Didnt matter on here I think

Disregard what Leslie's said. You have a vinyl liner. Low CH does not matter.
You need to follow the SLAM Process to get rid of the algae.
Did you get a new CYA tube and how long, what was the last CYA test result. ?
