We recently purchased an Intex metal frame pool that came with the skimmer plus 1500 filter pump and in the directions it says not to run the pump while people are in the pool. We had an easy set pool a few years ago and I seem to remember having the pump running while we swam. The pump that came with this pool is GFCI and we have an outdoor GFCI outlet, however the pool is just a few feet too far away and we used a heavy duty extension cord to make up the difference. Does anyone have this pool/filter pump and do you leave it running while the pool is occupied? What about using an extension cord? Thanks for any thoughts
