Pool cooling

Hey all, I've been reading some old posts on here and have put together a PVC fountain/sprayer to hopefully cool pool down. We are already bouncing between 87 and 90 degree pool water and haven't hit July yet. When is the best time to run the fountain? Should I run it during the hottest part of day or run it over night? Thank you for your input.

It doesn't make a huge difference when you run it, though day time is just slightly better. I would run it when you have the pump running anyway.
