Another sucker for PB pristineblue! Help convert my ways please!

Long story short: sales pitch sold me on pristine blue ! Big mistake!
Hopefully I can get some help getting to the life of chlorine!
I am pretty new to pools but a fast learner any help appreciated!!
Here's what I'm working with
9400k ag sand filter surface skimmer
And horrible PB in the pool. Pump runs total of 8 hrs a day on a timer

Current test results
Ta 170
Ph 7.8
Tc/fc/cc 0
Cya 50
Th 200
Don't have a ch drop test will get if needed
Copper 0.6-1.0

Where should I even start my conversion to chlorine?
I really don't want or can't afford to drain and refill but if that's my only option so be it that just really would stink. I am dedicated to this conversion and I will not waste anyone's time !
Pool is currently light greenish/yellow surely to the last 4 days of rain.

To prevent staining, you need to get rid of the copper and thus should replace nearly all of the water. How old is the liner?

the liner is almost 1 month old

I was hoping you weren't gonna say that!! And by most you mean most not 50% or 75% water change ?

I did manage to find some info on the forums that possibly a 50% change can get copper levels down to or below 0.3?
Is that my goal to get it at or below that? Before continuing onto my chlorine adventure
