Adding Calcium Chloride

We are in the 3rd day of our pool startup and here are our pool chemistries.

pH= 7.2
TA= 80
CH= 120
FC= 0

Should I be addressing the CH at this time?
Does plaster dust add to CH?
I have a bag of Calcium Chloride pellets by DOW to increase my CH. What is the best way to add these pellets to a new pool?

Indoor pool
20,000 gal pebble finish
In-Pool spa
4x160 Pentair pump
2hp Pentair pump
Pentair 320 cartridge filter
400k Pentair gas heater
Autocover

Thanks

With fresh plaster/pebble you should not raise TA or CH for the first three or four weeks. As the plaster cures it will raise the PH, TA, and CH levels. This happens quickly for the first three or four weeks and then much more slowly for up to a year. After three or four weeks, once that initial rise has slowed down, you should adjust CH.

I'll wait a couple of weeks, then test my CH. If I need to increase my CH, how do I add the calcium chloride pellets to the pool...broadcast over pool area or dissolve first before adding?

Thanks
