Replacing my filter/pump...Suggestions

I have the intex 14x42 ultra frame and the pump that came with it is the 1,000 gph POS. I want to upgrade to a CARTRIDGE filter unlike most people with intex that went to sand. My question is what filter/pump would you guys recommend. I would like to stay under $400 if possible ( I don't mind spending this much because I plan on upgrading to a bigger pool once I move)

Is this too much for my pool or will it be fine? Again any suggestion on other cartridge filters would be greatly appreciated.

I would recommend the largest cartridge you can get and a 1 HP 2 speed pump ... this may not be in a package together.

=1 what jblizzle said. It may bust your budget some, but you'll need it if you are sure to go to a different pool.

That is the perfect pump. And that filter should work as will ... bigger is always better.
