PH swinging wildly

Seeking guidance. PH is 8 one day and the next 7

Seems to stay within 7-8 range but the fluctuation within range varies wildly from one day to the next (especially when I put the cover on).

I'm hesitant to add chemicals due to daily differences happening on their own.

That is really not possible without chemical additions.
Post up a full set of test results.
How are you chlorinating?

I use bleach 8.25%. I keep Cl level between 2-5PPM. I add about 2 or 3 cups every night. With high Sun directly on pool all day Cl seems to burn off about 2-3PPM throughout the day. Last I tested CYA was at 30 three weeks ago. I will do the full suite if tests with my Taylor kit.

Is it high after days where there was alot of use or aeration? And did it miraculously go down again after? I can't see any way for the pH to go down without adding SOMETHING to the pool. Acid rain? LOL.

And the TA is high enough that wild swings should not be possible.

I am suspecting testing error? Something contaminating the sample or the vial?

Well, a few weeks back I added muriatic acid to lower PH. Having done any since, and it does swing around based on test results. If it's impossible for this to happen then I will look at other factors.
