Pollen = Algae?

We have lots of pollen here in Texas. Builds up on outdoor tables in a week or less (green). I assume just as much hits the pool. Does this tend to turn to algae? I assume not, as long as FC is good, and probably just sinks to bottom. I brush about once per week, and I see a "dust" plume as I sweep, can I assume this is only "dust" (or pollen)?

Pollen doesn't turn to algae. If the pool is properly maintained, the pollen will be filtered out and is not a concern.

In my experience pollen does burn up alot of chlorine so when the pollen is thick I have to really be persistant with keeping the FC in range or I get an algae bloom from low FC levels.
