Salt test kit

Can someone recommend a good test kit for salt level? Is a Total Dissolved Solids test O.K.?

Try the AquaChek salt test strips. They are reasonably simple and reliable.

TDS is not a good measure, there are too many things that contribute to TDS for the result to be useful.

Okay, I'll forget using a TDS test. Can you recommend a salt test using a reagent?

Taylor has a salt test that uses liquid reagents, but it is very difficult to do correctly. The AquaChek strips are actually a reverse titration, much better than the usual test strip approach, and have proven to be reliable if they don't get damp.
