Can you provide us with a picture or more details of your filter? What's at the highest point of the filter?

You might need to go into "settings" at the upper right and then on the next page in the left column at the bottom "attachments" and delete any previous attachments you have. That might let you upload.

Have you been trying to "insert" it or "attach" it in the "go advanced" reply section ?? I use the attach.
Is there any chance that the filter is plumbed backwards? That would cause air to get trapped inside, and also correlate with your complaint in your other threads about dirt and sand in the pool.
Yes. Are the hoses connected properly? If you try filtering with the flow going backwards, air will get trapped and the sand will get all disturbed and possibly blow back into the pool. Double check that. The ports are probably labelled. Just make sure the hose from the pump goes to the filter inlet.

The out from the pump is going to the right side of the filter in the picture. The pressure gauge looks to be connected to the left side like it might be the inlet where the hose from the pump should be connected. I'm just guessing from looking at the photo but I'd check to see if the filter housing of that valve has a physical arrow showing flow direction or lettering "in" "inlet" ....

It looks like on that setup trapped air will push out the exit port to the pool return. Yes, the model/manufacturer would be good to post.

Getting back to your original question, because the outlet is at the top it would self bleed and that's why it doesn't have a separate bleeder. BUT, why did you want to bleed it ?? Did you just think you needed to or are you having a problem ??
kiss4frog, my filter is gurgling and I can't figure out why. It is a Waterway Sand filter. 19 inch diameter, flow rate is 45.

The pump strainer does have a little empty space at the top while it is running but not a lot. Am I able to post a video here?
