Building pool Sunday going to Buy the Foam Board I have 2 Questions I am terrible with figuring this out!

1) How many 4 X 8 Insulation Boards do I need?
Owens Corning Extruded Polystyrene Foam Board Insulation (Common: 0.5-in x 4-ft x 8-ft; Actual: 0.5-in x 4-ft x 8-ft)

2. Is the .5inch thick kind enough?
It is just so expensive!

I want the insulators to go under the legs too.

Thanks

Don't forget the supports that extend out 2ft on each side (I'm guessing 2ft, can anyone verify. I have the same pool on order, going up as soon as I get it.). So at least 22x13. I have also read that using the 1.5 foam is best (comfort and protect the liner) and will accommodate the 2x12x15in (which is actually 1.5 thick and 11 1/4 wide) treated green wood under each brace. Simply cut a hole where the brace meets the foam and replace with wood.
