Replacing my cleaner

Hi guys :)

I had this pool cleaner
http://www.epoolshop.com/hayward_phantom_pool_cleaner.aspx

I hated it and just pulled it out and gave up on it. Now someone has given me this used pool cleaner

http://www.polarispool.com/Pressure/Polaris-165.aspx

Will I be able to use this cleaner with the same pump?

The end of the old cleaner broke off in the jet were it attachs to the pool. I was able to unscrew it from the pool wall. Now i have a piece which has threading like a screw (end that goes into the pool wall) with a piece broken, but still inside of it. It has a rubber seal and I can't seem to get the thing loose. The end of the Polaris 165 has threading but it's not like a screw. My question is: are these pieces uniform? can i buy another piece to screw into the pool wall to attach the cleaner? if so, what is this part called?

I"m sorry if this is hard to follow. That's kind of my problem, I can't google this. The question is basically: is the part that attaches to the pool wall the uniform? if so, what is it called and where can i get one? if not, what can i do?
