Ok, forgive me for being so newbieish, but do you mean just putting it in, say a knee high nylon sock or is this something special I need to get at my PS?

from what I have gathered from reading ALOT...Is you can use panty hose and hang it infront of your return or in your skimmer, or you can pour it in your skimmer as long as you do not backwash your filter too soon.
Just an old sock. It's not necessary unless you think you might need to backwash the filter before the CYA dissolves, but it's a handy way to add it.
I just use a sport sock, not a nylon, but yes, that is the idea. Or pouring it into the skimmer is fine too, as long as you don't backwash for about a week afterwards.
